In the next fifty days, Profit Hunter readers may be set to reap a colossal 2656% profit on one particular investment.
Three years ago, we bought into a tiny company that owns a huge copper mine on the remote Pacific island of Bougainville. The island had been ripped apart by civil war. And armed rebels had forced the closure of the mine.
Investors had abandoned the company and its shares were trading for just cents.
But we saw a profit opportunity…
And this recommendation has already done very well…
Now, within the next fifty days, the company is set to issue a report on the feasibility of re-opening the mine. If things go the way we believe they will, Profit Hunter readers could be set to book a massive gain on this…
We’ve done nicely on that investment so far and things look set to get a lot better. You see, this company’s controlling shareholder is now in the middle of a review on the feasibility of re-opening the giant copper mine.
That report is due out in August, which could now put us just fifty days away from news that we’ve been waiting for…
If the report says that the re-opening of the mine is feasible, I expect this company’s shares to take-off like a rocket. And with copper at near-record prices, there probably hasn’t been a better chance of that happening.
Here’s the inside track on this opportunity… For this company to re-open the mine and reach its full potential though, it’s going to have to win over the local landowners.
That’s the wild card in all of this. Because the armed conflict on the island began over the shoddy deal the locals felt that they were receiving from this company when it operated the mine in the 1980’s.
That remains the big unknown for investors. And it’s where Profit Hunter gives you an edge with exclusive information that you aren’t going find in the financial media….because we’ve got a local contact on the ground on that remote island…
Last week, we received an excited call from him. He’d pulled strings to get hold of the latest behind-the-scenes news on the local’s reaction to the proposed re-opening of the mine. And the news indicates that we’re more than ever on the right track with this speculative investment.
You see, a long-time adviser to the Bougainvillean landowners recently presented them with a written proposal that is meant to provide the basis for an agreement between this company and the local landowners.
Before the agreement can be put into practice, though, it needs to be accepted and signed by the majority of landowners and MPs of the Autonomous Government of Bougainville.
There still hasn’t been an official announcement about how things are progressing on this…
But according to the latest information that we have received from the island, the all the leaders of the local landowners associations who have already reviewed the document have signed-on in support of it. It’s also backed by Bougainville’s Vice President, and about half the Autonomous Bougainville Government’s MPs.
This is all fantastic news for us! Because we could finally be about to see an end to the opposition that has prevented the re-opening of the mine.
It’s not a done deal yet This still isn’t a done deal though. There are still a lot of landowner body executives who need to approve the proposal and the Bougainville government Cabinet appears to be divided on the new proposal. But given the number of parties who have already backed the document, there’s a good chance that is going to end up being adopted as the basis for the relationship between Bougainville Copper and the local landowners.
This is great news for our investment in this company. Because on the basis of the main assumptions in the proposal, this company’s share price could potentially hit A$31.15 – a 2656% gain on the current price!
That’s a mind-boggling figure. But it’s what we could see over the long-term if the proposed new landowners agreement is accepted and the mine re-opens. In the near-term though, we’re focussed on the feasibility study on re-opening the mine.
Fifty days and counting…
